# Book a Rental on RentX

Helps a user reserve a specific car once they've chosen one. RentX does not currently expose a public booking-creation API to agents — the actual reservation is completed on the secure web checkout. This skill prepares the user and links them there.

## When to use

- The user has already chosen a car (from `search-rentals` or a direct link) and wants to book it.
- The user asks "how do I book this car?" or "what does it cost for these dates?".

## Inputs to gather

Required:
- Rental ID (the car they want to book) — from a search result or a `rentx.al/rental/{id}` URL.
- Pickup date, drop-off date (ISO `YYYY-MM-DD`).
- Pickup location ID.

Optional:
- Drop-off location (if different).
- Insurance preference: `tpl` (basic third-party), `minicasco`, or `fullcasco`.
- Extras: child seat, additional driver, navigation, dash cam.
- Driver age (relevant for young-driver surcharge under 25).

## How to execute

1. Call `get_rental` with `{ id, pickupDate, dropoffDate, pickupLocationId }` to get the price breakdown, included insurance, available extras, and any age-based surcharges.
2. Walk the user through:
   - Total price in EUR and what's included.
   - Insurance options and their cost delta — explain TPL vs MiniCasco vs FullCasco briefly (see `https://rentx.al/insurance`).
   - Extras with their per-day or one-time costs.
   - Driver requirements (minimum age, license, deposit if any).
3. Hand off to the car's page with the dates filled in: `https://rentx.al/rental/{id}?fromDate={pickupDate}&toDate={dropoffDate}&pickupLocationId={pickupLocationId}`. Optional: `dropOffLocationId` for a different drop-off, and `pickupTime` / `returnTime` as whole hours (0-23). The user picks insurance and extras there and completes payment (card or PayPal) on the secure RentX checkout. (`/booking-details/{id}` is a signed-in page for an existing booking, keyed by booking ID - never link a rental ID there.)
4. If the user has questions during checkout, point them to `https://rentx.al/support` or `https://rentx.al/faq`.

## Important constraints

- All prices are in EUR by default. Currency switcher is available in the UI.
- Bookings are confirmed instantly once payment clears.
- Cancellation policy varies by rental company — surface this from `get_rental` output before the user pays.
