# RentX Pickup & Drop-off Locations

Resolves free-text city or airport names into the structured location IDs that RentX uses for searches and bookings.

## When to use

- The user mentions a city or airport name and you need its location ID to search rentals.
- The user asks "where can I pick up a car?" or "do you operate in Sarande?".
- The user wants to know if drop-off in a different city is supported.

## Inputs to gather

Optional:
- A city or airport name (free text) if the user is asking about a specific place.

## How to execute

1. Call the `get_locations` MCP tool. It returns the full list of supported pickup/drop-off locations across Albania with: location ID, display name, city, type (`airport` or `city`), and geographic coordinates.
2. If the user named a place, match it (case-insensitive, partial allowed) against the returned list and surface the matching ID(s).
3. If the user asked broadly ("where can I pick up?"), summarize coverage: cities + airports, grouped by region (coast, north, south, capital).

## Coverage as of 2026

RentX operates pickup/drop-off in major Albanian cities and airports including: Tirana, Tirana International Airport (TIA / Rinas), Durres, Vlore, Sarande, Ksamil, Shkoder, Berat, Gjirokaster, Korce, Pogradec. Always re-check with `get_locations` — the canonical list is what the API returns, not this skill file.

## One-way rentals

Drop-off can differ from pickup. Some companies charge a one-way fee — this is surfaced in `get_rental` output when the user picks distinct pickup and drop-off locations.
