# Search Rentals on RentX

Helps a user find rental cars in Albania that match their trip requirements.

## When to use

- The user wants to see available cars for a trip ("what cars can I rent in Tirana next week?").
- The user has constraints (budget, automatic only, 7-seater, specific company) and wants filtered results.
- The user has a pickup city/airport and rough dates but is still exploring options.

## Inputs to gather

Required:
- Pickup location (city name or airport, e.g. "Tirana", "Tirana International Airport / TIA").
- Pickup date and drop-off date (ISO `YYYY-MM-DD`).

Optional:
- Drop-off location if different from pickup.
- Price range in EUR (default currency).
- Car type / body (SUV, sedan, hatchback, van, etc.).
- Transmission (manual / automatic).
- Fuel type (petrol, diesel, hybrid, electric).
- Seat count.
- Specific rental company.

## How to execute

1. Call the `get_locations` MCP tool to resolve the user's free-text city/airport into a valid pickup location ID.
2. Call `filter_rentals` with the resolved location, dates, and any filters supplied. The response is paginated — request additional pages only if the user asks for more results.
3. Present the top matches with: car make/model, year, daily price (EUR), transmission, fuel, seats, rental company name, and the rental detail URL (`https://rentx.al/rental/{id}`, adding `?fromDate=YYYY-MM-DD&toDate=YYYY-MM-DD&pickupLocationId={locationId}` when the user gave dates).
4. If results are empty, relax filters in this order: company → seats → fuel → transmission → price → car type. Tell the user which filter you relaxed.

## Example flow

User: "I need an automatic SUV in Tirana from June 12 to June 19, under 60 EUR/day."

1. `get_locations` → find "Tirana" (city) or "TIA" (airport) location IDs.
2. `filter_rentals` with `{ pickupLocationId, pickupDate: "2026-06-12", dropoffDate: "2026-06-19", transmission: "automatic", carType: "SUV", maxPrice: 60 }`.
3. Return ranked list with prices and booking links.
